Firestick

 Norris International Services is the exclusive manufacturing company for the Vermeer HDD Firestick drill stem. Vermeer manufacturing is the largest OEM of road boring equipment.

 Firestick drill stem from Vermeer is designed for high torque horizontal directional drilling. Vermeer specific raw material standards ensure consistent wear and bending performance. Features include a one-piece, forged rod constructed of Vermeer specified high carbon alloy steel that is heat treated for uniform strength and consistent material hardness. Firestick threads are precision machined with 100% quality assurance to ensure proper triple engagement of the connection shoulder, pin and tapered thread. In addition, its coarse design delivers a faster makeup connection, smoother breakout, longer life and is standard on all Vermeer Navigator horizontal directional drills.

Inventory

 Norris International maintains inventory of HDD drill stems for Vermeer.  The various sizes range from 1.660 – 6’ thru 3 1/2” – 20’

Bundling

 All drill stems are bundled and stenciled with each part number for shipment. This prevents the least amount of potential damage during freight.

Straightening

 Upon receiving drill stems from the upsetting company, all stems are straightened using a punch unit instead of a cross roll unit.  This puts the least amount of stress into the joints.
